• Responsible for project delivery and field activities on customer installed base. Dedicated for field activities on customer installed base and project delivery.
• Execution of technical tasks following notification, dedicated to asset management offer and project and engineering.

Ensure complex installation, maintenance and repair on customer installed base.
Identify new opportunities while attending customer sites to promote Services growth.

Entry level to 3 years experience in the specific role but may have some general working experience Field Service Engineering work is focused on providing technical advice to customers including commissioning, installing, and testing of products/equipment including: •Identifying and correcting more complex problems associated with start-up •Researching, evaluating, and recommending new products or equipment upgrades that will meet customer needs •Developing on-going relationships with customers to secure future business •May resolve/troubleshoot implementation problems and/or train customers on the features of the equipment they have purchased

Level: A Team Leader (M1) supervises para-professional employees. Responsibilities typically include: • Setting day-to-day operational objectives for team. • Problems faced may be difficult but typically are not complex. • Ensures policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports, customers and stakeholders.

FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER

To perform field service (customer site service) activities involving the installation

supervision, commissioning, maintaining, modification and repair of complex Gutor AC

& DC UPS equipment.

Job description

• Responsible for a region or subgroup of field services.

• Performs installation supervision and commissioning of Gutor products including the

batteries.

• Performs maintenance for Gutor UPS equipment including batteries.

• Trains customers on equipment operation and maintenance of Gutor products.

• Represents Gutor in dealing with customer concerns.

• Interact with customers by phone or face to face.

• Responsible for identifying and reporting failure modes encountered when in the field.

Also responsible for determining the cause of these failures.

• Solve UPS problems at customers site and provides reports on these issues.

• Providing 24hrs telephone support for customers.

• Acquisition of Customer Service products.

• Travelling internationally if required.

The Field Service Engineer’s (FSE) primary role is to provide customer-site field repair,

installation supervision and maintenance services to Gutor customers. The FSE will,

when required (based on service contract or as

circumstances dictate), travel to the customer site. There, this individual will be

responsible for Gutor UPS systems repairing and analyzing a failed product or providing

customer-site maintenance. Because in some cases

repair needs will be done on-site the selected FSE must have intimate knowledge and

experience in diagnosing and repairing electronic circuitry on a component level.

Skills

• BE Electronics / Electrical Engineering or equivalent

• AC/DC Power Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of electronic theory to component level

• Ability to function independently

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in the native language of the respective

location
