Field Service Engineer (Electrical)

The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and servicing digital kiosks across multiple locations. The role involves ensuring correct setup, alignment, and functionality of kiosks, performing on-site troubleshooting and preventive maintenance, and providing technical support for kiosk rental deployments at events. The engineer will also coordinate with internal teams and clients to ensure timely resolution of service issues and smooth operations.

* Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and other moving parts, along with proficiency in electrical systems, including wiring, circuit boards, and power supplies. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams. * Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to efficiently identify and resolve technical issues. Analytical skills to determine the root cause of problems. * Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical users. Basic interpersonal skills for interacting with clients and team members. * Attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload. Effective time management skills. * Physical capability to lift and carry deliverable and rental products. Comfort working in various environments, including outdoor locations.

* Install and set up digital kiosks at various locations, ensuring proper alignment, calibration, and functionality. Connect kiosks to necessary power and network sources. * Conduct regular maintenance checks on digital kiosks to ensure optimal performance. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues, and replace faulty components such as screens, circuit boards, wiring, and other necessary parts. * Respond promptly to service calls, troubleshoot issues reported by users, and utilize diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve problems. Implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and ensure kiosks remain operational. * Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities. Provide regular reports on the status of kiosks and any issues encountered, and document any modifications or improvements made to the kiosks. * Provide customer service and support to clients and users of digital kiosks, educating them on proper operation and care. Address customer concerns and provide timely solutions. * Travel to event locations, install rental kiosks, and stay on-site for the event duration. Coordinate the setup and breakdown of rental equipment for events and clients, maintaining an inventory of rental equipment to ensure it is serviced and ready for use.
