Field Service Supervisor

CPG Sorting Technologies has been a leader in the waste and recycling industry for nearly five decades, specializing in the design, manufacture, installation, and service of advanced sorting machinery and material recovery facilities. Known for innovative engineering, turnkey solutions, and exceptional customer service, we are seeking a Field Service Supervisor to lead our field operations and support high-performance recycling systems at customer sites nationwide.

In this hands-on leadership role, you will oversee field technicians and subcontractors while providing technical expertise, troubleshooting complex equipment, and ensuring installations, start-ups, and maintenance are executed safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise field service personnel and subcontractors.
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting for mechanical, electrical, and system-related issues.
• Oversee installation, commissioning, and start-up of equipment at customer facilities.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and identify opportunities to sell additional parts and services.
• Support order processing, special-order quotations, and communicate pricing/lead times to customers.
• Perform testing and pre-shipment quality control on manufactured equipment.
• Verify customer credit status for rush orders and maintain accurate records of orders, changes, and shipments.
• Serve as the senior point of contact for customer service and operational concerns.
• Travel domestically and internationally (50%+), including potential weekends and overtime.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Two (2) or more years of relevant hands-on experience in mechanical/electrical troubleshooting and field service.
• Basic knowledge of electrical schematics, PC troubleshooting, and hand tools.
• Strong hands-on technical skills and problem-solving ability.
• Supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in variable environments.
• Flexible and willing to travel extensively, including international trips.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, bending, lifting, and hands-on troubleshooting on manufacturing floors or customer sites.
• Domestic and international travel required.

Pay: $95,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
