General Job Description:
Job Title: Field Service Technician
Shift: 1st

Department: Field Service

Reports To: General Manager

Classification: Non-Exempt


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service and support during field visits
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers
  • Interface with the Engineering Dept. to diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions
  • Understand customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations and briefings
  • Produce timely and detailed service reports
  • Comprehend installation and maintenance manual
  • Understand shipping bills of materials packing and marking methods
  • Complete purchase requisitions and submit internal requisitions
  • Provide quotes to customers for replacement parts

Specific Qualifications:
Required Skills & Abilities
  • Troubleshoot, test, measure, and repair equipment on site
  • Ability to read blueprints and CAD drawings
Education & Experience
  • Five years’ experience in a production environment preferred
  • Personal Protection Equipment Training (PPE), Lock Out-Tag Out Onsite training available
  • Forklift and Overhead Crane Certification
  • Onsite training available
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25lbs.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting
  • Able to travel
