The Opportunity

The Field Service Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing various types of industrial and mechanical AGI equipment and systems at customer locations. This includes assembling and disassembling machinery, aligning and leveling components, and performing preventive maintenance tasks. Field service technicians work independently and as a team in a safe, efficient manner..

• This is a travelling role with 90% travel to customer sites, typically 3 weeks on, 1 week off. Occasionally working at our AGI Plant located in Joplin, MO.

Responsibilities

• Install, move, and align machinery and equipment at customer sites such as erect steel structures.
• Dismantle machinery for repair or replacement of parts
• Use precision tools (dial indicators, micrometers, levels, etc.) for alignment and installation
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and systems
• Troubleshoot mechanical problems and repair or replace defective parts
• Erect steel structures
• Fabricate, weld, and modify equipment in the field. (Transitions, hangers, supports, etc.)

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or similar equivalent education required (technical training or apprenticeship preferred)
• 3+ years of experience as a service technician or industrial mechanic
• 1+ year(s) of Tig Weld experience
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and other rigging equipment.
• Experience with cranes and rigging/hoisting is preferred.
• Experience with forklifts, scissor lifts and manlifts is preferred.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and best practices
