Field Service Technician

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Field Service Technician to join our team. This role involves providing on-site technical support and maintenance services for our clients in various manufacturing facilities across the east coast. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical and electrical background, with experience in industrial maintenance and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment in manufacturing facilities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to programmable logic controllers (PLCs), HVAC/R systems, and hydraulic systems.
• Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking maintenance activities.
• Conduct inspections using precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters to ensure equipment functionality.
• Interpret schematics and technical drawings to facilitate repairs and installations.
• Execute welding tasks including stick welding as required for equipment repairs.
• Operate scissor lifts safely while performing field service duties
• Maintain accurate records of service performed, parts used, and customer interactions.

Experience

• Proven experience as an industrial mechanic or field service technician in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in industrial maintenance and electrical systems, including high voltage and low voltage applications.
• Familiarity with HVAC systems, hydraulics, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to diagnose problems effectively.
• Previous experience in customer service roles is highly desirable.
• Military experience is a plus, demonstrating discipline and technical skills relevant to the role.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
