The Role

As a Tech Support Representative, you're the technical backbone of our client experience. You'll install, configure, troubleshoot, and service a variety of POS systems across Arizona — both remotely and in person. You'll be in restaurants and storefronts. You'll run cable when needed. You'll walk a manager through a printer issue during a Friday rush. And you'll be the reason our clients stay with us for years.

What You'll Do

  • Onsite Installations: Install POS hardware and software at new client sites — terminals, kitchen display systems, printers, cash drawers, handhelds, and networking equipment
  • Tech Support: Diagnose and resolve POS issues remotely via phone, text, and remote-access tools — and dispatch yourself onsite when remote isn't enough
  • Quarterly Onsite Assessments: Visit client sites to review system health, hardware condition, staff usage, and recommend improvements
  • Menu & System Programming: Update menus, modifiers, pricing, happy hour specials, and recipe costing on behalf of clients — proactively and on request
  • Network Support: Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, access points, and wired/wireless networks that keep POS systems online
  • Documentation: Log every ticket, visit, and resolution in our client portal so nothing falls through the cracks
  • On-Call Coverage: Provide after-hours emergency support on a rotating schedule — because our clients don't run on a 9-to-5 schedule
  • Staff Training: Train managers and employees on system features, best practices, and day-to-day operation

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with POS systems — installing, configuring, supporting, or a combination
  • Comfortable working across multiple POS platforms; you don't need to know every system on day one, but you need to be the kind of person who picks up new technology fast and becomes fluent
  • Solid networking fundamentals — you can run cable, terminate ethernet, set up routers and access points, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and read a basic floor plan
  • You can explain a technical issue to a non-technical business owner without making them feel stupid
  • You show up. You follow through. You don't leave a job half-done
  • You stay calm under pressure — things break during dinner rush, and you prioritize and solve
  • Valid Arizona driver's license, reliable vehicle, clean driving record (mileage reimbursed)
  • Available for occasional evening, weekend, and on-call coverage

Bonus Points For

  • Bilingual (English / Spanish)
  • Prior experience working in a restaurant or retail environment
  • Familiarity with payment processing, EMV, and PCI compliance basics
  • Experience with remote monitoring and management tools
  • Low-voltage cabling certification or experience
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar IT certifications
