Summary
As a Field Technician at Ag Metrics Group, you will work with agricultural scientists. Set up or maintain laboratory equipment and collect samples from crops. Prepare specimens or record data to assist scientists in biology or related life science experiments. Collects trial data timely and consistently to meet the requirements of the protocol.
Responsibilities
- Conduct field investigations to collect data on crop performance and health.
- Data collection, insect counts, post-harvest disease ratings, fungal disease ratings, etc.
- Crop evaluation for vigor, Phytotoxicity, plant measurements, etc.
- Data entry into ARM database
- Nematode extraction
- Assist in setting up applications of product
- Work directly or independently on limited projects under the direction of a biologist
- Utilize hand tools and equipment for various agricultural tasks.
- Assist in the installation and maintenance of electrical systems related to field research.
- Collaborate with scientists to implement experimental protocols in the field.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for field equipment.
- Document findings and report data accurately for analysis.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Field Technician or similar role in agriculture or related fields.
- Strong proficiency with hand tools and basic electrical systems.
- Ability to work independently in outdoor environments under varying conditions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Able to work on the computer entering data
