Field Technician - II

We are seeking a motivated and professional Field Technician to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on IT work, thrives in client-facing environments, and wants to grow within a fast-paced Managed Service Provider (MSP).

You will be responsible for delivering on-site technical support, implementing IT solutions, and supporting a wide range of technologies including servers, Microsoft 365, and network infrastructure. Our team partners closely with small to mid-sized businesses to provide proactive IT support, consulting, and managed services .

Key Responsibilities

Client-Facing Support

  • Provide professional, face-to-face IT support at client locations
  • Build strong relationships with clients and act as a trusted IT advisor
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical users

Server & Infrastructure Management

  • Install, configure, and support Windows Server environments
  • Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, and user administration
  • Perform server upgrades, patching, and maintenance
  • Assist with virtualization environments (Hyper-V / VMware preferred)

Microsoft 365 & Cloud Services

  • Deploy and manage Microsoft 365 environments (Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive)
  • Perform Microsoft 365 migrations (email, file shares, tenant-to-tenant)
  • Troubleshoot authentication, licensing, and security issues

Network & Security

  • Support firewalls, switches, and wireless environments
  • Troubleshoot connectivity, VPN, and network performance issues
  • Assist with security tools, endpoint protection, and best practices

Project & Implementation Work

  • Participate in client onboarding and IT transitions
  • Assist with hardware deployments (servers, workstations, networking gear)
  • Execute IT projects including migrations, upgrades, and infrastructure builds

Documentation & Process

  • Maintain accurate documentation of client environments
  • Follow internal processes and ticketing systems
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of service delivery

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of IT support experience (MSP experience preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • Windows Server (2016/2019/2022/2025 preferred)
  • Microsoft 365 administration & migrations
  • Active Directory & Group Policy
  • Experience troubleshooting desktops, laptops, and user issues
  • Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs)
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in an MSP environment
  • Familiarity with:
  • Azure / Entra ID
  • Backup & disaster recovery solutions
  • Endpoint security / EDR tools
  • Network hardware (Meraki, firewalls, switches)
  • Industry certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco)

Pay: $22.50 - $29.00 per hour
