We are seeking a dependable and motivated Field Technician / IT Support Technician to join our Service & Support team. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving technical problems on-site, working directly with clients, and supporting a variety of IT environments.

Position Summary

The Field Technician will provide on-site technical support for client environments throughout the DMV area. This role includes troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, Microsoft environments, and basic network issues, as well as assisting with installations, maintenance, and end-user support.

Travel to client sites is required. A valid driver’s license is required, and Eagle Tech provides a company vehicle from our office for work-related client visits.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 1-2 support for Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, and business applications
  • Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, workstations, and peripheral devices on-site
  • Assist with basic network troubleshooting, including LAN/WAN connectivity, routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN access
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software for client environments
  • Support end users with workstation setups, account issues, password resets, and connectivity problems
  • Document all service activity, updates, and resolutions in ticketing and RMM systems
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients regarding progress and issue resolution
  • Escalate complex technical issues to senior engineers when needed
  • Assist with deployments, upgrades, and other support-related projects

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of IT support experience, desktop support, field support, or similar
  • Working knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft 365
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting
  • Experience with ticketing systems such as AutoTask, Kaseya, ConnectWise, or similar
  • Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills
  • Strong communication and time management abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

  • MSP experience
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft MCP, or Cisco CCNA
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Azure, firewalls, and basic cybersecurity concepts
