Field Service Technician (Apprentice)

In this apprenticeship position, we will train you to excel in troubleshooting, diagnostics, electrical and mechanical scale systems, as well as customer service. This position will challenge you but can be very rewarding for those that want a long-term career.

Job Description:

- Provide top notch service to our customers that includes calibration, repair, and installation of varying types of industrial scales. These include everything from scales that weigh in grams all the way up to scales that weigh trains and everything in between.

- Write reports on scale test results along with evaluations on condition.

- Report to Service Manager and Customer with recommendations if any repairs are needed.

Job Requirements:

- Strong problem-solving skills

- Valid Drivers License with a clean driving record

- Ability to lift 100 pounds

- Have an aptitude towards mechanical and electrical systems

- Be able to use a computer and have basic skills with Microsoft Word and Excel.

- The ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently

- Be able to pass a drug test

- Work after hours and some weekends

- Be able to go out-of-town for 10-20% of the time

- Have or be able to obtain basic hand tools within 6 months of hire

- Be able to use proper PPE that will be provided to you and work efficiently and safely

- Have or be able to obtain a Class B CDL within 6 months of hire (we provide the training)
