Duties

• Support electrical crews by handling conduit runs, wiring, and equipment setup under supervision; to include groundwork, trenching and general excavation.
• Help build concrete forms and slabs, including basic rebar work.
• Set posts and build frames for structural supports.
• Assist with equipment mounting and fastening using common hardware.
• Operate basic construction tools and machinery to measure, cut, drill and assemble materials safely and efficiently.
• Prepare work sites by clearing debris, setting up safety barriers, and organizing materials.
• Load, unload, stage, and organize materials and tools on site.
• Work outdoors in varying weather and job site conditions
• Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a secure work environment for yourself and team members.
• Conduct routine inspections of work areas to identify hazards or issues needing attention.
• Take on new tasks as needed and learn new skills over time.
• Collaborate with team members to complete tasks on schedule while maintaining high-quality standards.

Experience

• Previous experience in construction or related labor roles is required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, standing, and walking for extended periods.
• Basic understanding of construction tools, carpentry skills and safety procedures is necessary.
• Previous electrical experience is beneficial but not required.
• Possessing and maintaining your own hand and basic power tools is a plus.
• Requires ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.
• Willingness to learn new skills related to civil and electrical construction projects.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to Frederick location is required.
• Take direction well, show initiative, be dependable and willing/able to learn new tasks.

Pay: $39.08 - $47.06 per hour
