Field Technician/Soil Sampling

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Soil Sampler to join our team. This is a flexible, part-time position (20–100 hours per week) with the opportunity to work outdoors, travel, and directly contribute to supporting local agriculture. No degree is required—we will provide training for the right candidate.

This role involves soil sampling in agricultural fields, occasional overnight travel, and working independently to meet daily goals. Pay is hourly plus a performance bonus based on acres sampled per day.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Collect soil samples from designated fields using GPS-guided equipment and sampling tools.
• Record and label samples accurately to ensure proper tracking and analysis.
• Travel to farms and agricultural sites across the region (company vehicle provided for work).
• Occasionally stay overnight when working in distant locations.
• Maintain sampling equipment and ensure samples are handled correctly.
• Meet or exceed daily sampling goals to qualify for bonuses.

Qualifications

• No degree required—we provide training.
• Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work outdoors in varying conditions.
• Willingness to travel and occasionally stay overnight.
• Ability to work flexible hours (20–100 hours/week, depending on season and workload).
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Farming or agriculture experience is helpful but not required.

Compensation

• Hourly pay based on experience.
