Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Field Trial Data Analyst to join our team. This role is responsible for organizing, managing, and analyzing field trial data to generate actionable insights into the performance of our agricultural products. The ideal candidate has a strong background in agronomy, data analysis, and applied research, with a passion for improving products through evidence-based decision-making.

The position will start with a commitment of more than 20 hours per week, particularly during the initial data organizing period. This role has the potential to evolve into a full-time position.

Key Responsibilities Within the Team

• Data Management & Organization
• Compile, clean, and structure large datasets from multi-location field trials.
• Maintain standardized protocols for data collection, quality control, and storage.
• Data Analysis & Insights
• Perform statistical analysis on trial results to assess product efficacy, variability, and performance trends.
• Interpret and summarize results in clear, actionable reports for agronomy, R&D, and marketing teams.
• Collaboration & Communication
• Partner with agronomists, product managers, and field teams to understand research goals and data needs.
• Present findings in meetings and support cross-functional teams with data-driven recommendations.
• Continuous Improvement
• Stay current with advancements in agricultural data science, statistical techniques, and product testing methodologies.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Crop Science, Statistics, or related field.
• Strong Excel and data visualization skills.
• Understanding of experimental design, agronomic practices, and field data variability.

Preferred:

• Experience with GIS tools and spatial data.
• 2+ years of experience working with agricultural field trial data or research data analytics.
• Familiarity with digital agriculture platforms and trial management systems
• Experience in row crops, specialty crops, or seed/chemical product trials.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive hourly rate: $24-$28 an hour, depending on experience.
