File Clerk (Entry-Level Legal Assistant Track)

Job Description

This position is for a highly dependable, detail-obsessed person who takes pride in making their supervisor’s life easier, making their co-workers’ work easier, and delivering an exceptional client experience. It is for someone who wants to build a long-term career as a full-time legal assistant or paralegal. It is not for someone who wants to become an attorney, is looking for a temporary job, or needs constant hand-holding.

Many of our clients speak Spanish. If you cannot read and write Spanish, this is not a position for you. You must be comfortable communicating in Spanish.

We are a paperless office that uses Macs, so you must be comfortable using Mac computers and managing electronic documents with speed, accuracy, and precision. This role requires you to save documents according to protocol, maintain calendars, communicate clearly and professionally, and provide administrative and clerical support. You must be able to follow instructions exactly, stay organized, correctly prioritize urgent work, and handle repetitive tasks without cutting corners or dropping details. The work is not glamorous, but it is important, and it must be done right.
