A small law firm with two attorneys in Kearny Mesa has an immediate need for a file clerk/office assistant on a part-time basis, 15 to 20 hours per week.

Primary duties are case and administrative filing and back-up reception duties including answering phones and greeting clients and visitors. Other duties include scheduling, calendar maintenance, digital document control, photocopying, ordering supplies, collection of payments, and assisting attorneys and paralegals with a variety of case-related projects.

This job requires maintenance of strict confidentiality standards, an acute attention to detail, a positive attitude, and patience while dealing with clients in-person and on the phone. Applicants must possess excellent interpersonal and customer service skills and must maintain a professional appearance and polished demeanor.

Qualifications: you must be able to type at least 50 WPM; have good to excellent computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe applications; ability to answer multiple phone lines; speak well and confidently; handle multiple tasks and remain highly organized; have the ability to learn new tasks; have the ability to produce quality work while working under pressure; and balance workloads to meet deadlines.

The position is part-time. Flexible hours are between 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. Pay will start at $18.00 per hour depending on experience and skill level. Email your cover letter and resume describing your education, work experience and qualifications.
