Job Summary/About You


The Combined Arms Doctrine Directorate (CADD), U.S. Army CAC executes CAC lead responsibilities for doctrine. CADD develops (researches, writes, coordinates, and produces) Army doctrine for specified proponency areas; performs doctrine integration for Army doctrine to include ensuring Army doctrine is consistent with Joint, Multi-service, and Multinational doctrine (including doctrine developed by non-TRADOC proponents); develops, recommends and designs force structure and operating concepts for new modular units from brigade through corps level; and develops, coordinates, and recommends doctrinal policy and guidance. To aggressively develop and ensure the consistency of approximately 400 quality publications, the Combined Arms Doctrine Directorate (CADD) requires a Film and Video Editor. You must have an understanding of video short production requirements.


Clearance Requirement:

You must have a secret clearance for this position.


Deliverables Include:


(Understanding of Video Short Production Requirements):



  • As our film and video editor, you will participate in the production of two video productions per month and edit four video clips per month.

  • You will assist in producing the scripts, plan and produce video clips supporting specific vignettes, produce animated graphics for inclusion in electronic and web-based doctrine, POD casts, and edit select video clips. On average, edited clips will be short of 3 minutes to 1 minute.

  • You will produce or reproduce still photography for inclusion in doctrine publications or presentations.

(Understanding of Feature Video Production Requirements):



  • You will participate and lead in producing three feature videos, a duration of 45 to 60 minutes or 180 minutes of video, during 12 months. You will assist in producing the scripts, plan and produce feature videos supporting CADD Director-identified publications/doctrine fundamentals and specific vignettes, produce animated graphics for inclusion in electronic and web-based doctrine, and edit select video clips. Feature videos will include interviews or panel discussions and may include the addition of simplified on-screen graphics.
