Responsibilities
- Guide students through practical projects such as short films, documentaries, animations, and multimedia presentations
- Foster a collaborative classroom environment that encourages experimentation, critical analysis, and peer feedback
- Incorporate current industry tools and software to enhance technical proficiency among students
- Assess student work regularly, providing constructive feedback to support growth and mastery
- Organize extracurricular activities like film festivals, media clubs, or workshops to expand learning opportunities
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trends in film and media industries to keep curriculum relevant and inspiring
Experience
- Prior university experience teaching film or media courses is highly desirable
- Proven ability to design engaging curricula that balance theoretical knowledge with practical application
- Strong understanding of Adobe Premiere, camera operation, sound design, and visual storytelling techniques
- Experience mentoring students on media projects from conception through final production
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate diverse learners
- Ability to adapt lessons for different skill levels and learning styles
- Passion for fostering creativity and critical thinking within a classroom setting
