About the Role

BackTech is hiring a Financial Analyst to support US-based back-office financial operations. The selected candidate will be responsible for analyzing financial records, preparing reconciliation reports, maintaining accurate accounting data, and delivering financial insights to clients. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare daily cash flow summaries including deposits, bank balances, and pending invoices.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Verify cash and card deposits for financial accuracy.
• Record and categorize financial transactions from bank statements.
• Identify merchant chargebacks and coordinate dispute/appeal procedures.
• Generate sales tax and financial summary reports for clients.
• Prepare and maintain income statements and profit/loss reports.
• Calculate commissions accurately and share reports with clients.
• Develop professional financial presentations and analytical reports.
• Create additional reports to provide comprehensive financial insights.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in finance, bookkeeping, reconciliation, or US-based back-office operations.
• Strong command of spoken and written English.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software/tools.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Candidates based in Karachi are preferred.
