Finance and Administration Coordinator (Manufacturing Plant)

Miwon Specialty Chemical Co. Ltd. is seeking a Full Time Finance & Administrative Coordinator. Miwon produces and supplies raw materials for eco-friendly UV/EB curing systems that are utilized in a variety of applications, including inks for food packaging; special coatings for wood, plastic and metal; and in adhesives for DVD/Blu-ray discs and mobile phones. This is a fulltime, onsite position housed in Miwon’s 65,000-square-foot production facility located in Columbia, S.C.

Primary Responsibilities: Provide financial analysis support to Office Manager and provide administrative support of key tasks to the staff. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, quick learner with strong professional communication skills. Someone who is willing to go beyond standard responsibilities to support internal and external customers. To be successful the candidate must be able to work closely with both office and plant staff to keep operations running smoothly.

Essential Functions:

  • Operate purchase invoice and order systems, process accounts receivable and accounts payable through ERP systems, to include petty cash, prepare bank reconciliations and work to all monthly deadlines.
  • Prepare written materials and electronic purchasing information (e.g., lists, control logs, reports, year and accruals, etc.).
  • Process financial data and documents (e.g., Fixed Assets, bids, incoming purchase requisitions, purchase orders, mail, etc.).
  • Support Office manager in preparing monthly, annual and periodical returns.
  • Assist with end of year accounting procedures and annual financial audits.
  • Perform Receptionist/Administrative support for Finance, HR, Operations, and SHE (safety, health, and environment).
  • Perform clerical functions incidental to administrative activities.
  • Maintain a general accounting and financial records system, in accordance with generally accepted governmental accounting principles and procedures.
  • Maintain and re-stock office supplies as needed.
  • Monitor and use office equipment and materials (computers, printers, fax machines, copiers, physical files, etc.)
  • HR duty support for new hires, to include file management, and interface with benefits management.
  • Maintain Property Insurance.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Business or accounting degree desired but not required (with sufficient experience).
  • Three years of experience in manufacturing, where accounting and purchasing systems have been used. Comfortable with generally accepted accounting procedures.
  • Experience with accounting software programs, such as an ERP software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with particular focus on spreadsheet creation and management.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently with a strong attention to detail. Being organized and paying attention to procedures and details is vital to being successful at Miwon.
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal). Must speak fluent English
  • Regular attendance is expected.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

This position primarily works in a professional office environment with regular use of computers, phones, and other standard office equipment. The role also requires periodic access to the manufacturing plant, including adherence to all safety protocols and required personal protective equipment (PPE). Physical demands include prolonged sitting, frequent walking, standing, and navigating multiple flights of stairs, safely moving throughout the plant and surrounding facility, occasional lifting and carrying of up to 20 pounds, and performing activities such as bending, pushing, and pulling.

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
