Under general supervision of the Deputy CFO or designee, coordinates the County-wide budgeting, financial, or performance management systems, including developing, evaluating, tracking, and verifying program performance measures. Provides County-wide analysis and recommendations in the development, implementation, and management of the County budget, the County Popular Annual Financial Report (PAFR), and/or the County Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) applying fundamental budgetary and governmental accounting and reporting concepts, practices, and procedures. Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information.
Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university plus three years of accounting or budget experience; OR Master's Degree from an accredited college or university plus one year of accounting or budget experience; OR Equivalent combination of work experience and education
- Successful completion of a thorough background investigation
- Minimum of 12 college credit hours in Business Administration to include 6 in Accounting, Budgeting, or Finance.
- Must obtain successful completion of an accounting/budgeting and excel computer skills test.
- Successful completion of one of the following courses within six months of employment:
o Governmental Accounting or Reporting - minimum of 8 Continuing Professional Education Hours
o Public Sector Budgeting – minimum of 8 Continuing Professional Education Hours.
