Finance Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will support daily financial operations, assist with bookkeeping, and contribute to maintaining accurate financial records. Responsibilities

• Assist with processing invoices, receipts, and expense claims in accordance with company policies
• Support the preparation of financial reports and statements
• Maintain accurate and organised financial records and filing systems
• Reconcile accounts and bank statements regularly to ensure data accuracy
• Assist with payroll processing and related administrative tasks
• Support the finance team during audits and internal reviews
• Respond to routine financial queries from internal departments and external vendors
• Contribute to improving financial procedures and workflows where applicable

Skills

• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
• Good numerical ability and proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial procedures
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Prior experience with accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks) is desirable but not essential
• A recognised qualification in finance, accounting, or related field is advantageous
