Finance Bookeeper - Hospitality focused

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Finance Bookkeeper to join our team. In this vital role, you will manage the financial records and ensure the accuracy of all accounting transactions related to our hospitality operations as well as some cross over into our brewery operations. Your expertise will help maintain the integrity of our financial data, support budgeting processes, and ensure compliance with accounting standards. Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks.
• Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account analysis, and account reconciliation to ensure data integrity.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations regularly to verify financial accuracy.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Assist with budgeting activities, variance analysis, and financial forecasting to support strategic planning efforts.

Requirements

• Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms; familiarity with Quicken is a plus.
• Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), double-entry bookkeeping, and technical accounting concepts.
• Ability to perform account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation accurately.
• Knowledge of accounts payable/receivable processes, journal entries, and financial report writing.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of payroll processing, tax experience related to payroll taxes, and budget management skills are preferred.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
