Our growing assisted living organization is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Business Office Finance Manager to oversee the financial and administrative operations of our assisted living community. This position works closely with the Administrator and corporate leadership to ensure accurate billing, regulatory compliance, and financially sound daily operations that support high-quality resident care.
The ideal candidate will have experience in assisted living, healthcare, or long-term care environments and a strong understanding of private pay, Medicaid, and resident account management.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee resident billing, collections, and accounts receivable (private pay and Medicaid, if applicable)
- Manage accounts payable and coordinate payroll processing
- Maintain accurate financial records, bank reconciliations, and petty cash
- Prepare and submit financial reports to corporate accounting and leadership
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and corporate financial policies
- Assist with employee onboarding documentation and HR recordkeeping
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives
- Communicate professionally with residents, families, and vendors regarding financial matters
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred
- 3–5 years of experience in assisted living, healthcare, or business office management
- Strong understanding of assisted living regulations and billing practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables preferred) and financial software systems
- Experience with payroll processing and general ledger reconciliation
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly and professionally
