Finance & Human Resources Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY: The Finance and Human Resources Coordinator supports the day-to-day administrative functions specific to these departments. They will assist Finance with accounts payable and deposits. They will assist Human Resources with record-keeping, benefit administration, and payroll. This position requires accurate and timely processing of information and data entry.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Associate’s Degree in accounting, finance or related field, Bachelor’s preferred
  • Bookkeeping experience
  • Human Resource Management Certificate, preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to complete financial calculations and reports with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Honesty and integrity
  • Ability to relate effectively with other staff, volunteers, neighbors, The Food Bank partners and the general public
  • Proven excellence in organizational and planning skills, problem analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Be sensitive to the needs of neighbors with a commitment to fighting hunger
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Shift 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday – Friday
  • Be available to cover Front Desk 12 - 1 p.m. and other times as needed
  • Answer a multi-line phone
  • Direct callers to resources
  • Perform general clerical duties, including but not limited to filing, photocopying, scanning and mailing
  • Maintain and update human resource documents and forms
  • Accurately record journal entries
  • Daily deposits reconciliation
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Exercise good judgment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Advanced computer skills
DUTIES:
  • Obtain financial information for government contracts and private grants
  • Manage special projects
  • Process deposits and accounts payable
  • Backup for benefit invoice reconciliation
  • Assist in benefit enrollment and administration
  • Backup for payroll administration
  • New employee orientation scheduling
  • Assist in employee handbook understanding/guidance
  • HRIS Administration
  • Learning Management System Administration
  • Serve as a member of the Employee Council
  • Assist in verifying I-9 documentation and maintaining documentation
  • Assist with maintaining driver files
  • Work with Volunteer Database
