Our client in retail apparel industry is looking to hire a Finance Manager for their company. The ideal candidate will ensure financial stability, implement strong internal controls, drive efficiency in operations, and provide accurate financial insights to support decision-making. This role requires a results-driven leader with expertise in retail and manufacturing finance, who can build a high-performing finance team aligned with the company’s long-term growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Leadership & Strategy

Restructure, lead, and strengthen the Finance Department to align with organizational goals.

Develop and implement financial policies, systems, and procedures to ensure effective financial management.

Provide strategic recommendations to the Chairman, CEO, and MD based on sound financial analysis.

Support long-term financial planning, capital allocation, and growth initiatives.
2. Financial Planning & Analysis
-
Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.

Conduct detailed financial analysis to monitor performance, identify risks, and recommend corrective measures.

Provide timely MIS reports and dashboards for management decision-making.
3. Accounting & Compliance
-
Oversee accounting operations including AP, AR, GL, payroll, and inventory accounting.

Ensure compliance with Omani tax laws, VAT regulations, statutory reporting, and IFRS standards.

Liaise with auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities.
4. Cash Flow & Treasury Management

Manage working capital effectively to ensure liquidity for operational and expansion needs.

Optimize cash flow, credit facilities, and banking relationships.

Implement treasury controls and monitor foreign currency exposures (especially for imports from Japan, Korea, and China).
5. Risk Management & Internal Controls

Establish robust internal controls across the finance and retail operations.

Mitigate risks related to financial reporting, fraud, or operational inefficiencies.

Implement ERP/financial systems for greater transparency and accuracy.
6. Team Development

Build, mentor, and lead a competent finance team.

Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and excellence.
Qualifications & Experience:

Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (MBA preferred).

Professional certification: ACCA / CPA / CMA / CFA (mandatory).

Minimum
10–12 years’ progressive experience
, with at least
5 years in a leadership role
in retail, apparel manufacturing, or FMCG sector.

Proven experience in restructuring and strengthening finance departments.

Strong knowledge of IFRS, VAT, and Omani statutory requirements.

Advanced ERP and MS Excel proficiency.
