The Role

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will lead the accounting team in all aspects of the reporting cycle, from transacting, through to monthly reporting and preparing budgets and forecasts. The role spans management and financial accounting for the ANZ and East Southeast Asia businesses, ensuring the timely and accurate recording and reporting of financial information. Working with the finance team and across the business, this role has key stakeholders internally within the region as well as more widely across the globe. In addition, external stakeholders include auditors and tax advisors.

Main responsibilities include:

• Lead and manage the accounting team to support the business and deliver on all internal and external reporting requirements.
• Manage an annual timetable to report on the company's key objectives.
• Timely reporting of the local management pack, including analysis and commentary on margins and performance.
• Year end accounts preparation and consolidation through to statutory accounts, including coordination of the external audit.
• Lead compliance activities, liaising with external tax advisors across all entities. Lead the FBT return, monthly GST and manage transfer pricing, working alongside the Group Tax Team.
• Ensure internal controls and the SOX environment are adhered to.
• Oversight of the shared services team to ensure accuracy and timely recording of transactions.
• Support the budget process and forecasting, including inventory and capital expenditure.

The Person

CPA/CA qualified, this opportunity will suit a technically minded leader who thrives on process improvement, compliance and delivering accurate and timely results. A clear communicator, with a strong nature to push excellence and high standards within the global finance team, you are ideally experienced within a large, complex organisation; you will demonstrate your ability to work across various functions in the business and add value through continuous improvements. Excellent communication skills will see you partner with internal and external stakeholders effectively. You must be able to multitask as this position has a variety of responsibilities, which will keep you challenged and motivated. Ideally, you will have experience with SAP and Advanced Excel.
