Job Description – Finance & Accounts Manager

Position: Finance & Accounts Manager
Experience Required: 8–12 Years
Location: Bangalore
Department: Finance & Accounts
Reports To: Head – Finance / CFO / Director


Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Finance & Accounts Manager to lead our accounting, financial planning, compliance, and reporting functions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in managing end-to-end finance operations, statutory compliance, and team leadership, with a proven track record of driving efficiency and accuracy in financial management.


Key Responsibilities


Accounting & Financial Management
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including AP, AR, GL, payroll, and reconciliations.
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
Monitor budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to support decision-making.
Manage working capital, cash flow, and treasury operations effectively.

Compliance & Controls
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including GST, TDS, Income Tax, EPF, ESI, and other applicable laws.
Coordinate statutory, internal, and tax audits, ensuring timely completion and compliance.
Implement and monitor strong internal controls and risk management practices.

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
Prepare MIS reports and dashboards for management review.
Conduct financial analysis, identify cost optimization opportunities, and support strategic initiatives.
Partner with business units for financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management
Lead and mentor a team of accountants and finance executives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Operations, and HR for financial matters.
Liaise with banks, auditors, consultants, and statutory authorities.


Key Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, and compliance.
Proficiency in ERP systems, Tally, MS Excel, and financial reporting tools.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong leadership and people management abilities.
Effective communication and stakeholder management.


Qualifications

Education: UG (CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) / M.Com (preferred).
Experience: 8–12 years of progressive experience in finance & accounts, with at least 3+ years in a managerial role.
Exposure in Engineering and Trading
