We are seeking an experienced and highly driven Finance Manager to lead and manage its finance function with complete ownership. This role demands strong financial acumen, statutory expertise, and a proactive mindset to support business growth, content operations, and strategic decision-making in a dynamic media environment. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and capable of independently driving finance operations while partnering closely with leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Take end-to-end ownership of the finance and accounting function, demonstrating strong initiative and accountability.
- Prepare, analyse, and present Profit & Loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and MIS reports.
- Ensure full compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements including GST, TDS, e-Invoicing, and Income Tax.
- Handle GST filings, reconciliations, audits, notices, and assessments independently.
- Manage TDS deductions, returns, compliance timelines, and related reporting.
- Oversee and implement e-invoicing processes aligned with accounting and operational workflows.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and financial planning for media projects, content production, and business operations.
- Monitor revenue streams, contracts, vendor payments, and cost controls specific to media and entertainment activities.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and regulatory authorities.
- Strengthen internal controls, improve financial processes, and ensure governance and accuracy in reporting.
- Provide actionable financial insights to management to support strategic and commercial decisions, including effective cost optimization and cost-control initiatives.
Key Requirements
- ICWA (Cost Accountant) qualification is mandatory.
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting, preferably within the media, entertainment, digital, or content-driven industries.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of GST, TDS, e-Invoicing, statutory compliance, and P&L management.
- Ability to work independently and take complete ownership of the finance function.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and compliance accuracy.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working in fast-paced, dynamic environments will be an added advantage.
