Buro Happold is seeking a Finance Manager to join our Jeddah office.

Reporting to the KSA Head of Finance, you will take ownership of end to end finance activities for a key client entity and associated projects in Saudi Arabia. This is a hands on role requiring strong technical expertise, sound judgement, and confidence working closely with senior stakeholders.

You will be part of a wider regional finance team, contributing to robust governance, strong compliance, and high quality financial insight that supports effective decision making.

A Saudi National candidate is strongly preferred for this position.

Responsibilities

Financial Operations & Control

• Manage day‑to‑day finance operations including payables, receivables, general ledger, cash management, and month‑end close
• Ensure accurate accounting records in line with IFRS as adopted in KSA
• Maintain strong internal controls, documentation, and audit trails

Tax, Compliance & Statutory Reporting

• Register, activate, and maintain all relevant KSA tax and e‑invoicing portals (including ZATCA, Etimad, and related systems)
• Prepare, review, and submit VAT and WHT returns in line with statutory deadlines
• Support Corporate Income Tax filings and ongoing compliance matters
• Prepare statutory financial statements and manage the external audit process

Invoicing, Cash & Project Support

• Issue client invoices in full compliance with KSA e‑invoicing regulations, including tracking and submission
• Monitor bank accounts, cashflow, and accounting entries
• Support project teams with revenue recognition, cost tracking, budgeting, and forecasting
• Liaise closely with project controls and commercial teams to ensure financial accuracy

Reporting & Stakeholder Management

• Prepare periodic financial reports for internal stakeholders and senior leadership
• Act as a key contact for auditors, advisors, and partner finance teams
• Liaise with BH KSA Finance for consolidation and reporting requirements
• Manage finance‑related matters for the Jeddah office as required

Your skills and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Professional qualification preferred: SOCPA, ACCA, CPA, or CMA
• 5+ years’ finance experience in Saudi Arabia, with hands on exposure to ZATCA VAT/WHT and KSA e invoicing portals
• Proven experience across payables, receivables, general ledger, month end close, cash management, and statutory reporting
• Experience preparing audited financial statements and working with external auditors
• Exposure to professional services, engineering, construction, or similar project based environments
• Strong systems experience (Oracle, SAP, MS Dynamics); Power BI an advantage
• Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to work confidently with senior leadership
• Highly organised, able to work independently, prioritise effectively, and deliver to tight deadlines
