Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join our team at a leading real estate brokerage. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial planning, analysis, and reporting functions, as well as managing cash flow, tax compliance, and team performance. Your expertise will support the company’s strategic goals, ensuring financial health and stability in the fast-paced real estate industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Planning & Analysis
- Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies to support the company's growth and profitability within the real estate brokerage sector.
- Prepare detailed financial forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses to inform strategic decisions.
- Provide senior management with timely, accurate financial reports and insights to guide business decisions.
- Accounting & Reporting
- Oversee daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger management.
- Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Maintain compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local regulatory requirements.
- Cash Flow & Treasury Management
- Monitor and manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to ensure the company’s financial stability and operational efficiency.
- Manage banking relationships, credit facilities, and financial risk mitigation.
- Optimize the investment of surplus funds and refine financing strategies to support growth and profitability.
- Taxation & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with VAT, corporate tax, and other relevant tax regulations.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and consultants to maintain tax compliance and strategic planning.
- Implement and enforce robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent financial fraud.
- Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead, supervise, and mentor the finance and accounting team, ensuring high performance and professional growth.
- Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
- Collaborate with sales, operations, and senior management to align financial goals with overall business objectives.
- Real Estate Brokerage Focus
- Track and reconcile property transactions, commissions, and agent payments, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Analyze the profitability of projects, property portfolios, and brokerage deals to support decision-making and performance improvement.
- Support management in structuring investment opportunities and strategic partnerships to maximize returns.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role within the real estate or property industry.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial modeling, accounting principles, real estate transactions, and tax regulations.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel (experience with real estate software is a plus).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Languages: Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.
