Finance Manager / Senior Accounting Specialist (Part-Time)

We are a growing fashion brand seeking a hands-on Finance Manager / Senior Accounting Specialist to work directly with the founder in cleaning, organizing, and stabilizing our financial operations.

This is not a corporate environment. We are a small, fast-moving business in a rebuilding and growth phase, and we are looking for someone who is comfortable working in a hands-on, evolving environment where systems are still being built and improved.

You will work closely with the founder and play a key role in helping bring structure, clarity, and accuracy to our financials as we prepare for continued growth.

Core Responsibilities:

1. Financial Cleanup & Reconciliation

• Review and clean up historical financial records
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and payment platforms
• Categorize all outstanding and uncategorized transactions
• Ensure all financial data is accurate and complete

2. Revenue & Platform Reconciliation

• Review and correct how revenue is recorded across sales platforms
• Identify duplicate, missing, or misclassified transactions
• Ensure accurate treatment of sales, discounts, returns, and refunds
• Recommend and implement clean processes for ongoing recording

3. Financial Reporting & Accuracy

• Ensure Profit & Loss statements are accurate and reliable
• Review cost of goods sold (COGS) and inventory treatment
• Ensure expenses are properly categorized and reflected

4. Balance Sheet & Financial Integrity

• Reconcile and validate balance sheet accounts
• Identify and resolve discrepancies
• Review owner contributions, distributions, and equity accounts

5. Cash Flow Management & Visibility

• Build and maintain a 13-week cash flow forecast
• Provide weekly visibility into cash position and upcoming obligations
• Support short-term cash planning and decision-making

6. Accounts Management

• Oversee accounts payable and receivable
• Track outstanding balances and financial obligations
• Support communication and prioritization of vendor payments

7. Inventory & Budgeting Support

• Support inventory purchasing decisions based on cash flow and sales performance
• Assist with budgeting and cost management
• Help track cost of goods and margin performance

8. Strategic Financial Support

• Provide practical financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions
• Identify areas for improved efficiency, cost control, and profitability
• Support the founder in planning for growth and scalability

9. Tax Preparation Support

• Prepare clean and organized financials for CPA review
• Ensure documentation is complete and accurate for tax filing
• Coordinate with external accountants as needed

10. Process Improvement

• Help implement simple, sustainable financial processes
• Improve organization, tracking, and reporting systems
• Support the transition to more structured financial management

Pay: $2,500.00 - $3,000.00 per month
