Position Summary
The Finance Manager/Senior Finance Officer will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, budgeting, donor reporting, compliance, audits, and financial planning. The ideal candidate must have prior experience working with NGOs and donor-funded projects and possess strong financial management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day financial operations and accounting activities.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Develop and monitor project budgets and organizational budgets.
- Ensure compliance with donor requirements, organizational policies, and local regulations.
- Manage accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and cash flow.
- Coordinate internal and external audits.
- Monitor grant expenditures and donor-funded projects.
- Prepare financial forecasts and budget variance analyses.
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
- Support senior management with financial planning and decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and statutory reporting requirements.
- Supervise and mentor finance staff when applicable.
Required QualificationsEducation
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics, or a related field (required).
- Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration (MBA Finance), or a related field (preferred).
Experience
- Minimum 3–7 years of relevant finance experience.
- At least 2–3 years of NGO experience is mandatory.
- Experience managing donor-funded projects and grants.
- Experience with budgeting, financial reporting, and audits.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Experience with donor compliance and reporting requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and report-writing abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, CA, CMA, or equivalent will be an advantage.
- Experience working with international NGOs.
- Familiarity with donor regulations (USAID, UN Agencies, EU, DFID/FCDO, etc.).
Pay: Rs100,000.00 - Rs115,000.00 per month
