Specialty Motors is a fast-growing independent used car dealership with over 130 vehicles in inventory across two locations in Gurnee and Round Lake, Illinois. We specialize in helping customers of all credit backgrounds — including subprime and credit-challenged buyers — secure financing and drive away in reliable vehicles.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager (Subprime Specialist) who excels at working complex credit situations and securing approvals for customers with challenged credit. This is a high-impact role responsible for structuring deals, building lender relationships, maximizing approvals, and driving backend profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Secure financing for prime, subprime, and deep-subprime customers
- Structure challenging deals involving prior repossessions, low income, limited credit history, or ITIN customers
- Submit applications and manage approvals through lender portals
- Work stips, callbacks, and funding requirements efficiently
- Present and sell F&I products (warranties, GAP, wheel & tire, GPS, paint protection, etc.)
- Ensure all paperwork is accurate, compliant, and funding-ready
- Collaborate with sales staff to maximize deal structure and customer satisfaction
- Maintain strong relationships with banks and finance companies
Required Experience
- Minimum 2+ years of dealership F&I or automotive sales experience
- Proven success working with subprime and deep-subprime customers
- Strong knowledge of lender guidelines and deal structuring
- Experience with lenders such as Credit Acceptance, Westlake, Santander, Global Lending Services, CAC, and similar
- Familiarity with DealerCenter, Dealertrack, RouteOne, or similar systems
- Ability to handle deals from application to funding

Pay: $100,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
