Finance Manager (Technology Company)

Job Summary

The Finance Manager will play a critical role in driving the financial strategy of a technology-driven organization. This role is responsible for financial planning, performance analysis, and reporting to support rapid growth, product development, and data-driven decision-making in a fast-paced tech environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning aligned with product and growth strategies

• Develop financial models to evaluate new products, pricing strategies, and market expansion

• Analyze key SaaS / tech KPIs such as ARR, MRR, CAC, LTV, churn, and gross margin

• Financial Reporting & Controls

• Prepare and review monthly management reports, dashboards, and variance analysis

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls

• Oversee revenue recognition in accordance with applicable standards (e.g., ASC 606 / IFRS 15)

• Coordinate external audits and manage relationships with auditors and advisors

• Business Partnering

• Act as a financial business partner to Product, Engineering, Sales, and Operations teams

• Support decision-making on headcount planning, R&D investments, and cloud infrastructure costs

• Provide financial insights for pricing, contracts, and customer profitability

• Cash Flow & Cost Management

• Monitor and manage cash flow, burn rate, and runway

• Optimize operating expenses, including cloud services, software licenses, and vendor contracts

• Support fundraising activities, investor reporting, and board presentations (if applicable)

• Systems & Process Improvement

• Manage and improve financial systems, ERP tools, and reporting automation

• Implement scalable finance processes to support company growth

• Ensure data accuracy and integration between finance systems and tech platforms

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field

• Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CFA, CMA) is a strong plus

• 5+ years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in a technology or SaaS company

• Strong understanding of tech business models, subscriptions, and usage-based revenue

• Experience with ERP systems, cloud accounting tools, and data analytics platforms

• Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling

• Familiarity with cloud cost management and vendor optimization
