About the Role
We are a fast-growing logistics and commerce company operating across multiple business models, including dropshipping, freight forwarding, 3PL, and shipping label services. We are hiring a Finance Operations & Bookkeeping Lead to own the day-to-day integrity of our books and finance support processes.
This role is not a tax role and not a pure strategy role. We need a hands-on operator who is strong in detailed, repeatable accounting work, documentation, bookkeeping discipline, and billing support.
The right candidate will help us build a finance function that is clean, transparent, and scalable, so executives, partners, and future investors can trace numbers back to real source documents quickly and confidently.
What You Will Own
- Maintain clean and accurate books in QuickBooks Online
- Record and classify transactions across multiple business lines
- Prepare AP request packets with proper support documents for management approval
- Maintain vendor and customer finance records and supporting files
- Work with external accounting/tax firm on AR support, AP reconciliation support, monthly close support, and tax schedules
- Respond to client billing questions and resolve invoice-related discrepancies
- Maintain audit-ready backup for booked transactions, journal entries, and adjustments
- Prepare weekly finance status updates and open-item trackers
- Support month-end close and management reporting
- Help build scalable finance SOPs, document flows, and reporting standards
- Over time, help train and lead future finance support staff in China
What You Will Not Own
- Final tax filing ownership
- Final AR ownership
- Final AP approval authority
- Cash disbursement approval
- High-level advisory-only work without execution
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of bookkeeping, accounting operations, or accounting support experience
- Strong QuickBooks Online experience
- Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills
- Experience maintaining clean documentation and source backup for transactions
- Ability to handle detailed, repetitive work accurately and consistently
- Strong follow-up habits and written communication
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving founder-led company
- Able to organize books across multiple vendors, customer types, and service lines
- Able to explain billing details clearly to internal teams and clients
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in logistics, freight forwarding, 3PL, e-commerce, or multi-vendor service businesses
- Experience supporting U.S. companies with external CPA/accounting firms
- Experience building SOPs and close checklists
- Experience managing or training junior finance staff
- English fluency required
- Mandarin preferred, not required

Important Note
This role is ideal for someone who likes building clean books, solving finance operations problems, and creating order from complexity. It is not the right fit for someone who only wants to work on high-level strategy without hands-on execution.
Pay: $50,548.11 - $60,875.14 per year
