Finance Operations Supervisor

Role Overview:

The Finance Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all financial transactions. This role supervises the finance operations team, supports business growth by implementing process improvements, and ensures that internal controls are maintained in line with company policies and regulatory standards.


Responsibilities:

• Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Supervise end-to-end AP/AR functions, including invoice processing, collections, and vendor payments.

• Ensure timely reconciliations of supplier and customer accounts.

• Cash Flow & Treasury Management

• Monitor daily cash balances and manage fund transfers.

• Support forecasting of short-term and long-term cash requirements.

• Compliance & Controls

• Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP), company policies, and audit requirements.

• Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare operational finance reports and dashboards for management review.

• Identify variances, analyze trends, and recommend corrective actions.

• Process Improvement

• Streamline workflows and introduce automation to improve efficiency.

• Partner with IT/ERP teams to enhance system capabilities for finance operations.

• Team Leadership

• Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of finance officers and clerks.

• Set clear objectives, monitor performance, and provide training where needed.


Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (professional certification such as CMA, CPA, or ACCA preferred).

• 5+ years of experience in finance operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

• Strong knowledge of financial systems (ERP experience preferred: SAP, Oracle, Odoo, or Zoho).

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
