What You'll Do
The Finance Process Intern will support the development, documentation, and modernization of financial workflows that enable Turck’s T-Gate project approval process and broader Turck 4.0 transformation. This role will work closely with Finance, R&D, Project Management, and Operations to map current processes, strengthen financial models, document SAP data flows, and support the creation of long-term sustainable finance practices for R&D projects.
This internship provides hands-on experience in project finance, financial modeling, KPI development, process mapping, and exposure to SAP financial and controlling structures.
T-Gate Workflow & Financial Process Mapping

Partner with Finance and R&D to map current T-Gate financial workflows, checkpoints, and decision-making requirements.

Identify gaps, decision bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities in existing financial processes.

Document the current-state R&D transaction processes and master data rules.
Financial Modeling & Business Case Support

Assist in updating or developing financial models used during project approval stages.

Support refinement of business case assumptions, inputs, and financial checkpoints.

Analyze historical data to validate model assumptions and identify trends.
KPI & Reporting Development

Assist in defining key performance indicator (KPI) logic, required data sources, and reporting cadence for R&D financial metrics.

Support early design of dashboards or reports, partnering with BI Analytics and Excel-based tools as needed.

Evaluate data reliability, reporting constraints, and opportunities for automation.
SAP Finance & R&D Data Flow Documentation

Document current-state SAP processes related to R&D (Controlling, Project Systems, R&D master data).

Propose future-state SAP workflows and data flows that support long-term sustainability.

Assist in updating documentation for SAP Controlling or Project Systems customizations and master data rules.

Support activities that improve clarity and accuracy of R&D financial transactions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration

Collaborate with R&D, Finance, Project Management, Operations, and BI teams to validate assumptions and process requirements.

Participate in process review meetings and contribute to discussions on financial governance for R&D.

Help ensure financial processes and tools align with Turck 4.0 strategic initiatives.
What You'll Bring
Required:

Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, or related field.

Strong interest in financial modeling, project finance, or business process analysis.

Proficient with Excel (formulas, modeling, data manipulation).

Strong analytical and organizational skills.

Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred:

Experience with SAP, BI tools, or ERP workflows.

Familiarity with KPI development, dashboarding, or data visualization.

Coursework or experience involving financial analysis or process documentation.
Internship Program Experience
In addition to project-specific responsibilities, the intern will:

Participate in a cross-functional intern cohort project.

Present both their department-specific project and cohort project results to leadership.
