Finance & Tax Assistant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Finance & Tax Assistant to support the finance department in managing accounting records, tax compliance, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will assist in preparing tax returns, maintaining financial documentation, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Finance Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers
• Assist in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Perform bank and account reconciliations
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes
• Prepare financial statements and management reports
• Monitor cash flow and expense tracking
• Assist in budget preparation and forecasting

Tax Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and filing VAT/GST, income tax, and withholding tax returns
• Maintain tax documentation and ensure timely compliance
• Support tax audits and liaise with external auditors/tax consultants
• Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations
• Prepare tax computations and supporting schedules
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• 1–4 years of experience in finance and taxation
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations
• Proficiency in MS Excel (PivotTables, formulas, data analysis)
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Tally, Oracle)
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certification (CA/CPA/ACCA – pursuing or completed)
• Experience handling tax filings independently
• Knowledge of ERP systems
• Experience in audit coordination

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs55,000.00 - Rs60,000.00 per month
