Job Description

Job Summary:

The Financial Aid Systems & Operations Specialist plays a key role in the daily and annual processing cycle of the Financial Aid Office. This position supports the the director while ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely processing of federal, state, and institutional aid by managing key data flows, understanding federal file formats, supporting COD processing, and assisting with system configuration and testing. The Specialist serves as a technical and operational resource for staff, students, and campus partners. Uses information and data to develop reports and track progress toward goals.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree

  • 1 year experience with a student infomration system, specifically PeopleSoft
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read technical documentation and apply it to institutional operations.
  • General technical aptitude with the ability to learn PeopleSoft (or similar SIS) structures and tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree

  • Solid understanding of federal financial aid programs and regulations.
  • Experience working with ISIRs, COD, or other financial aid data systems.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, including Financial Aid module workflow.
  • Prior experience configuring awarding/packaging rules.
