Financial Analyst

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting financial analysis, preparing reports, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making. This role requires a strong understanding of financial concepts, proficiency in data analysis tools, and the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, including cash flow analysis and budgeting.
• Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for management review.
• Utilize advanced Excel functions, including pivot tables and VBA, for data manipulation and reporting.
• Collaborate with various departments to gather data for forecasting and strategic planning.
• Analyze trends in corporate accounting, cost accounting, and investment banking to inform business decisions.
• Implement business intelligence tools such as Tableau and Power BI for data visualization.
• Perform quantitative research to support financial modeling and analysis.
• Maintain proficiency in ERP systems and Hyperion for efficient financial reporting.
• Assist in the development of financial strategies aligned with corporate finance objectives.

Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables and VBA.
• Experience with SQL for data querying and management.
• Strong understanding of financial concepts including profit & loss statements, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.
• Familiarity with financial software tools such as Bloomberg and business intelligence platforms like Tableau or Power BI.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to conduct quantitative analysis effectively.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for financial report writing and presentations.
• Knowledge of governmental accounting principles is a plus.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $52.00 - $57.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
