Financial Analyst
About the Role
We’re looking for a Financial Analyst to support Kuali’s financial planning and analysis (FP&A) and ensure leaders have clear, accurate insights to guide decision-making.
As Kuali’s Financial Analyst, you will develop and maintain financial reports, analyze performance against budget, partner closely with the Controller to investigate and explain variances, and collaborate with department managers to create and update forecasts and annual budgets. You’ll play a key role in helping the organization understand what’s driving financial outcomes, supporting strategic initiatives, and identifying opportunities for operational improvement.
This role is fully remote.

What you’ll be responsible for
- Creating timely, accurate financial reports that provide clear insights to leadership
- Reporting on key SaaS metrics that support business performance reviews
- Analyzing financial performance versus budget and identifying drivers behind variances
- Partnering closely with the Controller to research, interpret, and explain differences between expected and actual results
- Building short- and long-term financial forecasts using historical and current data
- Collaborating with department managers during the annual budget process
- Meeting regularly with department managers to discuss monthly variances and ensure shared understanding
- Presenting financial data clearly and accessibly for stakeholders with varying levels of financial fluency
- Supporting continuous improvement of FP&A processes, tools, and reporting
- Performing ad-hoc FP&A analysis to support leadership questions and strategic decisions

You may be a great fit if you:
- BS in Finance/Accounting or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or similar roles
- Experience creating financial reports and dashboards
- Experience with budgeting and forecasting
- Experience conducting variance analyses and communicating performance insights
- Expertise with Excel
We'd be delighted if you also have experience with:
- SaaS business models or subscription-based metrics
- Experience with mergers and acquisitions
