We have a great opportunity for a seasoned Sr. Financial Analyst.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Financial Analyst will oversee the daily functions of a designated business unit within VM.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Oversee, control, and account for daily vehicle inventory activity, including calculation and funding of credit lines
· Review and analyze incoming vehicle sales payments to perform forecast vs budget analysis
· Create and manage 13-week cash flow
· Review open liens on shipped vehicles to determine loan payment requirements, and identify missing sold vehicle payments
· Manage the ad-hoc (unannounced) flooring line of credit audits by the lender to ensure accurate and timely compliance with lender’s loan activity requirement
General Ledger and Profit & Loss review and analysis
· Provide weekly summaries on flooring line transaction, as required, to Finance Manager, or CFO.
· Develop and employ understanding of monthly vehicle and conversion sales activity to model and forecast future vehicle and conversion sales activity
· Develop and employ an understanding of the business unit Profit and Loss statement activity to effectively and accurately project forward monthly P&L performance.
· Support the creation of annual Financial budgets for the business unit.
· Work with accounting to close each month and provide P&L and Balance Sheet reporting statements for the business unit on a monthly basis
· Support information request for the annual outside audit of business unit financial activity
· Complete monthly sales and manufacturing activity metrics as defined by VMI Management
· Provide ad hoc reports to management as requested
· All other duties assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelors’ Degree in finance, accounting, or related field
· 1-3 years Finance experience
· Candidate must have strong Excel (with pivot tables, lookups experience), PowerPoint and data management skills
· Candidate must have experience using a computerized accounting system; Dynamics GP a plus
· Ability to multi-task effectively and meet deadlines with limited direct day-to-day supervision
· Strong balance of business, financial and technical skills with the ability to communicate and drive initiatives cross functionally
· Manufacturing industry experience a plus
· Candidate must be resourceful, present well to management, and have the ability to take ownership over projects and recurring tasks
· Candidate must be willing and able to work in a fast-paced environment with a wide range of responsibilities and deal with constantly evolving deadlines, requirements and challenges
· Preferred familiarity with manufacturing GAAP Accounting
