Brewer Science, Inc. is a major innovator of high-technology solutions for the semiconductor / microelectronics markets. We are currently seeking a purpose-driven candidate with an ownership mentality to fill an open position as a Financial Analyst (level I, II, or III). This position will be located in Rolla, MO.

Summary:

Financial Analysts work in a diverse and dynamic environment with a team of business analysts and end users. They are responsible for performing the cost accounting functions, conducting cost audits and financial analysis, preparing cost reports, and serving as financial liaison with operations management staff to analyze product costs.

Responsibilities:
Financial Analyst I:
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Provide analysis, metrics, and variance reports to operations management in support of continuous improvement, risk assessment, trends, and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes by collecting and analyzing financial data.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making purposes.
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis and reports as requested by management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial information and provide insights.
  • Manage chemical inventory accounting and analysis.
  • Coordinate and manage the standard costing system and corporate allocations.
  • Prepare and assist in cost projections for the monthly forecast and annual budget.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent and 4+ years' experience in related field or
  • Associate’s degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or related field and 2+ years’ experience in related field or
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or related field and
  • 1+ years of experience in ERP or
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Financial Analyst II
  • Same duties as Financial Analyst I.
  • Additional duties as Financial Analyst II:
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including budget vs. actual analysis and forecasting reports.
    • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify key performance indicators, areas for improvement, and to support strategic initiatives and business decisions.
    • Develop and maintain advanced financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
    • Provide recommendations based on financial analysis to improve business performance and optimize resource allocation.
    • Partner with business leaders to understand their financial needs and provide insights to support decision-making.
    • Evaluate the financial impact of various business strategies and initiatives.
    • Collaborate with department heads to understand operational drivers and provide financial insights.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
  • Minimum Education and Experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent and 6+ years' experience in related field or
    • Associate’s degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or related field and 4+ years’ experience in related field or
    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or related field and 2+ years’ experience in a related field or
    • MBA or Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field and
    • 3+ years of experience in ERP or
    • An equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) preferred.
Financial Analyst III
  • Same duties as Financial Analyst II.
  • Additional duties as Financial Analyst III:
    • Lead the financial planning and analysis process, including annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
    • Conduct complex financial analysis and modeling to support strategic initiatives, capital investments, and M&A activities.
    • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management based on financial analysis and industry trends.
    • Partner with business leaders to develop financial strategies and drive performance improvements.
    • Lead the preparation and presentation of comprehensive financial reports and analysis to company leadership.
    • Mentor junior analysts and provide guidance on financial analysis techniques and best practices.
    • Manage the financial planning and forecasting process, including coordination with various departments.
    • Conduct cost analysis and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
  • Minimum Education and Experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent and 8+ years' experience in related field or
    • Associate’s degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or related field and 6+ years’ experience in related field or
    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or related field and 4+ years’ experience in a related field or
    • MBA or Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field and 2+ years’ experience in a related field and
    • 5+ years of experience in ERP or
    • An equivalent combination of education and experience.
