Financial Analyst

Job Summary:

The Financial Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the organization’s financial reporting, systems administration, and operational processes. This position is responsible for consolidating and analyzing financial data, supporting the ERP system functionality across departments, and assisting with inventory and operational workflows. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, proficient in Excel, and comfortable working with large datasets and cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity and efficient business processes.

NOTE: This is an in-office position located in Bozeman, Montana.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting & Analysis

  • Generate, analyze, and distribute accounting and financial reports to support management decision-making
  • Prepare and distribute financial reporting and monthly packages
  • Assist with financial data consolidation and validation across multiple sources to ensure accurate reporting
  • Generate royalty and quarterly fee reporting by compiling and consolidating distributor data from multiple sources and reviewing submitted data for completeness and accuracy, identifying discrepancies or inconsistencies
  • Support the annual budget process by: building department budgeting and forecasting templates, consolidating departmental inputs into an Excel-based P&L model and uploading and validating finalized financial data

Systems & NetSuite Administration

  • Serve as the primary internal support resource for NetSuite across all departments
  • Build, maintain, and distribute system reports including scheduled automated reports, ad hoc reports requested by business teams, and updating report distribution lists as needed
  • Perform administrative functions within NetSuite
  • Maintain system data integrity through ongoing monitoring and validation processes
  • Assist with systems integration and implementation activities as needed
  • Support setup and maintenance of scripts, accounts, and order processes within NetSuite
  • Assist with system-driven inventory transfers between locations and upload inventory adjustments to add and clear inventory between locations.
  • Support item management including UPC tracking and product data updates
  • Manage supply allocation features within NetSuite to ensure accurate product distribution

Operational & Project Support

  • Partner with warehouse teams to resolve inventory discrepancies and improve inventory-related processes
  • Provide internal support regarding business processes
  • Assist with maintaining and execute testing of seasonal order forms
  • Test new order forms using the SO macro and upload them into NetSuite to verify accuracy and functionality
  • Assist with product costing updates and related financial data updates within systems
  • Provide analytical and operational support on various projects
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and cross-functional projects to enhance operational efficiency

  • Familiarity with automation tools, macros, and scripting within ERP environments

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • 2-5 years of experience in budgeting, financial analysis and reporting, and inventory management
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
  • Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools is a plus
  • Familiarity with ODBC (Open Database Connectivity) for data access and integration
