Role Overview

We are hiring Financial Analysts / Financial Engineers who think like systems architects — not traditional spreadsheet operators. This role sits at the core of our financial infrastructure, where you will engineer models, optimize financial systems, and drive high‑stakes decision automation.

You will own a critical financial domain, build forward‑looking models, and influence how capital, risk, and operational efficiency flow through the entire Sun West platform.

Your Mission

This is a deep‑ownership, high‑impact role where you will:

Own

• A defined, mission‑critical segment of Sun West’s financial infrastructure
• End‑to‑end oversight of financial systems, reporting logic, and optimization levers

Engineer

• High‑fidelity financial models, forecasts, and predictive analytics
• Stress‑tested risk models and scenario simulations
• Scalable financial logic that integrates with AI‑driven decision engines

Optimize

• Capital allocation, risk exposure, and operational cost structures
• Systemic inefficiencies across financial operations
• Real-time financial performance under regulatory constraints

You will operate like a financial systems engineer , not a historical accountant.

Your Impact

• Architect & Own: Full responsibility for a major financial domain within Sun West’s books
• Deploy Models: Build and maintain advanced financial models and forecasting engines
• Identify Inefficiencies: Surface optimization opportunities that materially impact profitability
• Translate Complexity: Convert legal, regulatory, and contractual language into financial logic
• Advise Leadership: Partner with AI, Engineering, and Executive teams to drive strategic decisions
• Proactively Improve Systems: Raise early warning indicators and propose actionable solutions

Skills & Qualifications

We’re looking for individuals with intellectual intensity, analytical rigor, and a builder’s mindset .

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or related quantitative field
• Strong command of accounting fundamentals and financial statement analysis
• Ability to interpret legal and contractual documents and translate them into financial logic
• A financial engineering mindset — you see finance as a system to optimize
• High intellectual curiosity and passion for understanding complex financial systems
• Comfort navigating ambiguity and high‑stakes financial structures
• Detail‑oriented, disciplined, and capable of independent leadership

Preferred

• Experience in mortgage finance, fintech, financial services, or risk modeling
• Exposure to AI‑driven financial systems , automation, or quantitative modeling tools
