Financial Analyst

Short Description

  • Job Purpose

The role is responsible for identifying, assessing, and managing financial risks that could adversely affect Sadara’s financial performance. This includes risks related to foreign exchange, interest rates, commodities, and credit. The analyst will evaluate financial data, monitor market conditions and economic developments, and recommend and implement strategies to mitigate or control these risks. The position requires a strong risk mindset and an active contribution to strengthening Sadara’s financial risk culture, policies, and processes.

  • Main Responsibilities
  • Identify, assess, and continuously monitor market (FX, interest rate, commodity), credit, and liquidity risks across the company.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain financial risk models and measurement tools (e.g., VaR, sensitivity analyses, stress testing).
  • Prepare and deliver regular risk reports for finance leadership and corporate management, highlighting exposures, trends, and key risk drivers.
  • Recommend, support, and help execute appropriate financial risk mitigation strategies, including hedging programs.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Operations, Supply Chain, Controllers, FP&A, etc.) to integrate risk management best practices into business decisions and processes.
  • Stay current on financial market developments, macroeconomic trends, and emerging risks relevant to Sadara’s operations.
  • Support the development, review, and enforcement of internal financial risk policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
  • Assist in shareholder reporting and ensure compliance with applicable regulations, internal controls, and audit requirements.

  • Ongoing improvement and execution of financial risk mitigation strategies.
  • Strengthening the organization’s risk culture through guidance, communication, and teamwork.
  • Enhancement of risk models, methodologies, and analytical tools.
  • Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Professional certifications (FRM, CFA, CTP, or similar) are a strong advantage.
  • 8–12 years of relevant experience with a solid understanding of financial instruments and risk management frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem‑solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex topics clearly.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to policy development and embed risk culture within day‑to‑day operations.
