Financial Analyst

Position Overview

The Financial Analyst at Spotless Brands supports the company’s financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities to drive data-informed decision-making across the organization. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this role is responsible for developing financial reports, performing variance analysis, supporting budgeting and forecasting cycles, and providing actionable insights to enhance financial performance.

The Financial Analyst partners closely with cross-functional teams, translating financial data into clear business insights that align with corporate objectives and private equity expectations. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, analytical professional eager to grow within a fast-paced, multi-site, private equity-backed environment.


Essential Functions (Other Duties as Assigned)

  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, periodic forecasts, and long-range financial plans
  • Perform financial analysis, including revenue, expense, profitability, and variance analyses across business units
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning, scenario analysis, and strategic initiatives
  • Generate and distribute recurring financial reports and dashboards to key stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights into financial trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Partner with operations, accounting, and other departments to ensure alignment between financial data and business performance
  • Support financial due diligence and integration analysis for Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) activity as needed
  • Assist in preparing materials for executive leadership, board meetings, and private equity reporting requirements
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting efficiencies, and data integrity
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and special projects at the direction of the Director of Finance

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or related finance roles
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling and data analysis functions
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools preferred
  • Exposure to multi-site operations, retail, or private equity-backed environments is a plus
  • Familiarity with GAAP and basic accounting principles

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Understanding of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
  • Familiarity with financial statement and key business performance metrics
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficient in Excel and financial modeling techniques
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial data clearly
  • Solid organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and build strong business partnerships
  • Ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable recommendations
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information appropriately

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer in a quiet office environment
  • Ability to travel occasionally to multi-site operations, investor meetings, or financial institutions as needed, travel up to 10%
  • Regularly required to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms
