POSITION DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a highly analytical and execution-oriented Financial Analyst, Capital Projects to support capital planning, project tracking, and fixed asset financial management across DrinkPAK’s rapidly expanding manufacturing footprint. As a fast-growing leader in beverage manufacturing, DrinkPAK is investing heavily in new facilities, equipment, and capabilities to support some of the largest brands in the industry.

This role reports to the Director of FP&A and partners closely with Operations, Engineering, and Accounting to ensure capital investments are planned, tracked, and executed with strong financial discipline. In this role, you will help ensure capital is deployed efficiently, projects stay on track financially, and leadership has clear visibility into investment performance.

You will manage capital spend across multiple facilities, improve visibility into project performance, and support data-driven decision-making. While this role includes fixed asset accounting responsibilities, the primary focus is on capex planning, forecasting, and project-level financial management.

LOCATION: The position is based at DrinkPAK's Headquarters in Santa Clarita, California.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Capex Planning, Forecasting & Analysis

Support development and tracking of capital budgets across multiple facilities and projects

Maintain capex forecasts by project, location, and asset class

Partner with Operations to support annual planning (AOP) and forecast cycles

Perform monthly budget vs. actual analysis and identify risks, opportunities, and cost drivers

Track commitments, cost-to-complete, and estimate-at-completion across active projects

Build financial models to evaluate project performance and return expectations

Capital Project Financial Management

Partner with Engineering, Operations, and Project Management on large-scale capital initiatives (equipment installs, line expansions, new facilities)

Provide financial visibility into project spend, timelines, and variances

Support capital approval processes and ensure alignment with approved budgets

Monitor Construction-in-Progress (CIP) and ensure timely and accurate capitalization

Fixed Asset & Accounting Support

Support fixed asset lifecycle including capitalization, depreciation, transfers, and retirements

Prepare and review journal entries related to fixed assets and capital projects

Ensure alignment between subledger and general ledger during month-end close

Partner with Accounting to ensure compliance with US GAAP and capitalization policies

Cross-Functional Partnership

Act as a finance partner to plant leadership, engineering, and procurement teams

Translate financial data into clear insights to support operational decision-making

Collaborate with Accounting, FP&A, and Treasury on capital reporting and funding needs

Process Improvement & Systems

Identify opportunities to improve capital tracking, reporting, and forecasting processes

Support enhancements to ERP and planning tools (NetSuite, Adaptive, or similar)

Help build scalable processes to support DrinkPAK’s rapid growth

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

At least 3–6 years of experience in FP&A, capital projects finance, or fixed asset accounting.

Strong understanding of capex planning, forecasting, and financial analysis

Highly detail-oriented with the ability to organize and comprehend the full scope of fixed assets across the organization.

Working knowledge of fixed asset accounting and capitalization principles (US GAAP).

Experience partnering with cross-functional teams in an operational environment.

Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP/planning tools.

Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication skills with the ability to influence non-finance stakeholders.

Experience in manufacturing, industrials, or capital-intensive environments preferred.

Exposure to large-scale capital projects or plant expansions preferred.

Experience with systems implementations or process improvement initiatives preferred.

BASE SALARY COMPENSATION RANGE: $100k - $110k
