MicroTheory Engineering is seeking a Financial Analyst / Compliance Analyst to support federal financial operations, reporting, reconciliations, and compliance initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting government financial processes and collaborating across operational and reporting teams.
This role will contribute to day-to-day reporting operations, variance analysis, reconciliations, and financial compliance activities supporting complex federal environments.
Responsibilities
- Perform reconciliations, financial adjustments, and variance analysis
- Support DATA Act and federal financial reporting activities
- Assist with compliance reviews and documentation
- Prepare reporting deliverables and operational status updates
- Support audit readiness and financial reporting processes
- Collaborate with stakeholders across finance and operations teams
- Assist with process improvement and reporting optimization initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 4–8 years of relevant experience
- Experience supporting federal accounting or financial operations
- Strong Excel and reporting skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with GTAS reporting and reconciliations
- Knowledge of federal financial compliance processes
- CGFM certification preferred
- Familiarity with Treasury reporting operations
